So this has been a big week for Samantha Jane. She had her first
official over-night-er with Grandmommy and Gramps (who has
been re-named Papa by Sammy, so we'll see if he sticks with that
instead...my money is on "yes" and yours would be too if you
could see how he m.e.l.t.s. when she says "Papa")! Half the time
she whispers it which is even cuter! She actually spent the night
with my Mom and Uncle Jamie at his house after his knee
surgery so technically it was her 2nd night away from home.
She is doing very well in school and is learning soooo much.
For the most part, she can recite the alphabet all the way to Q
on her own, sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, can count to
10 if you do it with her and LOVES the Days of the Week song-
the one to the tune of The Adams Family. Also this week, she
has started saying baby (instead of dady) and I SWEAR- not
even 5 days ago she was still saying "gaga"- like Lady Gaga-
for passy & we have no idea how that came about, but now she
says "passy" like it's no different that what she was saying
before. She loves to brush her teeth...not HAVE her teeth
brushed, but brush them herself. We have to bargain a bit.
Mommy first, then Samantha Jane. Last night with mom
& dad she started saying "Be right back" which I'm sure
is hilarious, but we haven't seen it yet. She will say "scuse me"
and pat her tummy or chest when she burps or coughs and I
know I'm partial, but the child has the best manners of any
17 month old I know...or some older children for that matter!
Oh, and Samantha Jane got her first haircut tonight! Caleb
took some pictures, so I will post them at a later time.
Last thing- even though I know you Mommies don't mind
reading all this stuff- she has started going to bed really early
lately. Like 6:30 one night and 7pm another night...that kind
of early. Must be growing- and too quickly if you ask me!
