Never a dull moment!

We have had a whirl-wind month of April! Our family is
definitely feeling blessed these days!

Samantha Jane is into emotions, expressions & making faces :oP

Because eventually....she'll need a baby picture for her
senior yearbook.
Today was Noah's 3rd birthday! Noah and Samantha Jane are
BEST BUDDIES! Seriously, "best buddies" doesn't even begin
to describe them. They act more like twins with their bond.
The two of them came up with a game in their classroom where
they fight (tickle, actually) an imaginary dragon. I know,
I know... not necessary to say "imaginary". Noah even asked
to keep a picture of Samantha Jane beside his bed! And on
more than one Sunday afternoon, Sammy J has asked me if
it's time to go see Noah yet?!

Samantha Jane, Noah & Hudson
Opening his present from Samantha Jane. She picked out
Thomas the Train bubbles and some huge sidewalk chalk.
I'm not even sure the boy will be able to hold a piece of it
well enough to draw anything productive, but it looked fun
to both of us! Every time she would tell him
"Happy Birthday, Noah!" he would say "Yay!
Happy Birthday to you!" She kept trying to explain to
him that it wasn't her birthday, but he was a big ball of
birthday love and excitement!!
Last Thursday, Samantha Jane and I went to the Discovery
Center. It's so fun to see how much her imagination has
developed with each trip!

She was determined to steer AND press the pedals!

We had a great time in the market! She asked me what I
wanted, how many of each and checked me out. When I
was given my total and pretended to hand her some money,
she just looked at me and said, "Mommy, you have to get
your wallet first." No one to blame but myself....
My apologies to the little girl on the receiving end of this look....
clearly, she missed the sign that said "Samantha Jane's Train"
Giving me one of her scary faces!
Making spaghetti just like they do every Monday night at
Grandmommy & Papa's house.

Now, here is the funny part. She never told me that she
was pretending to be at Grandmommy & Papa's house.....
but when she picked up this stool so she could reach
into the sink....................
took her bowl to the sink (and washed it) AS SOON
as she was done eating.........
I knew. That doesn't happen at our house!!!

We bought Samantha Jane a new bike and she was beside
herself with excitement when I brought the box into the
house. It had a great picture on it, so she thought she knew
exactly what to expect when we opened the box up.
Once she saw the wheels come out, the realization hit,
and the d.r.a.m.a. set in!
"OH, NO!!!!!!! IT'S BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!!" (this is an accurate
action shot of the flailing arms during her speech).
"WE HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"THIS IS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!" (Shout out to MingMing on Wonder Pets).

Drama is done, helmet is on, excitement is back!

As you can see, we had to race against the setting sun to get this
bike put together in time for a quick ride. There was no way we
could have redeemed ourselves had we made her wait until the
next day!
