Halloween!!!

Whew! It's been a whirl-wind Halloween week! On Wednesday,
we had our party at school, complete with trick-or-treating. We
had arranged the outing with two of our neighboring businesses
and I almost think they were a liiiiittle more excited than the
kids! (Thank you to Fastenal and CrossFit!)

Practicing our "trick-or-treats" (minus the rest of the song
that some of them know.....) and our "thank you's" before
heading out.

Fastenal
Still Samantha Jane and Noah...... :)
After several tears, she got over having to take off the princess
dress; but she wasn't giving up that crown! (She ended up wearing
NEITHER when we went trick-or-treating last night, which you will
soon see.)
Friday night we were invited to a bonfire/hayride at Max and Talan's
land.

On the hayride. I love this picture!!!

Lordy, where to start with this picture :) A few minutes earlier, she
told a little boy that there was a puma out in the field. He didn't
completely buy it, but has watched enough Dora and Diego himself to
be weary..... And as she sat in this chair, she continued on with her
story. There was a puma, we could walk out there, but he would
probably hide....and any object or person that came into her line of
vision became a part of the story (and in case you weren't aware- a
puma says "pum, pum").
Trick-or-Treating in Woodbury

Just like last year, all the roads around Main St. were blocked off,
and everyone was free to roam. So fun!
And during the day, Sam had decided that she was wearing this
yellow dress (that we already had) instead of the pink one.
Naturally, I had to go get the wig (Caleb still isn't completely on
board with this logic :)) which worked well as a hat and kept her
head and ears warm!
She was beside-herself-excited with the wig...so was I!

Grandmommy

She found a glow stick on the ground and carried it around as her
wand all night. Cute little thing with the pink gloves- she didn't want
to wear them, but was over-ruled after a while.
As she and I walked up to one house, she whispered "Thank you
for the gloves, Mommy." Some things are meant to be between
mother and daughter :)

She was Belle!! She has yet to see any of the original princess movies, but knows each of them!

We supplied the candy- it did seem kinda cruel that the kids were in there scoring all kinds of treats while everyone else was killing themselves with high-intensity repetitions!
