Lately

we've just been hanging around at home. The dance studio was on
Spring Break last week and with the beautiful weather, we made
the most of it!

Rockin' out with Daddy (sparkly head wraps make the guitar sound
better).

I love her face here :)
Sam discovered a box of Caleb's old Ninja Turtle toys in the garage
and they have had a big time!!

She'll love that double-chin picture in a few years, I'm sure!
Samantha Jane would LIVE in dresses if she could! Actually,
now that she has discovered night gowns, she pretty much does.
(Notice the first few pictures in the butterfly nightgown.) She
was quite appalled when I first mentioned that such a thing as
night gowns existed....appalled because she didn't have any.
Heretofore, she had been putting cotton dresses over her pj's,
so I casually mentioned that maybe we could get some gowns
the next time we went shopping. "What's a night gown?" she
asked. "It's a dress that is specifically for sleeping (at this point
I started to feel a tongue-lashing coming on as I realized what
I was saying)"....."WHAT?!?!?!? Why don't I have any?!".....
crickets.....I had no good answer except I've been trying to
stay out of girls' clothing stores. All was right with the world
after a shopping trip!

Gymnastics is still part of our Saturday routine- she'll start dance
class this summer. She is d.y.i.n.g. to be on that stage!! I'm hoping
that Samantha Jane will be able to perform the same 2 dances that
I did my first year! If I play my cards right, I might get to pick
the costumes even though I won't be her teacher.....we'll see :)
This was independent- she gets a little bored sitting in between
rotations. I thought it looked cool, though.

Action shot!

I'm pretty sure she's pretending to be Spider-Man (he's become a
favorite at our house)

And here too.....
Nothing like a lazy Sunday afternoon (in the nightgown again)
I swear, she's either in a nightgown, dress-up dress or regular
dress/skirt. Such a girly-girl. Except for the Spider-Man slippers...
